Boiler Factory in China
COALMAC is a horizontal 3-pass fire tube
packaged type coal-fired boiler designed to be extremely
efficient, reliable and flexible under the most challenging
operating conditions and robust both in design and construction.
Stay tubes and stay bars are fitted to ensure that stressing
of tube plates and tube nests are within construction code
limits. The boiler is of welded construction throughout and
is designed and engineered to the relevant China Boiler Code
(equivalent to ASME Power Boiler 1992).
The boiler body is covered with layers of
high quality insulation materials and is protected with sheets
of stainless steel outer cladding. The rear reversal chamber
is internally covered by thick layer of castables and insulating
materials are applied externally. High heat resistant paints
are applied on other areas for finishing
CHAIN GRATE FRAME STRUCTURE
Factory assembled Chain grate. FULL-LENGTH
design to allow more residence time inside the fire chamber
for the coal to be completely burned. It is robust and sturdy
both in design and construction. Its chain stoker is specially
designed with very small distance in-between links to accommodate
a wide range of Indonesian coal sizes from 50 mm and below.
This is a dramatic improvement over other design that caters
to bigger coal sizes of European standard. Combustion air
passes through the special chain link with upward swirling
motion that tremendously assists in combustion.
FIRE CHAMBER DESIGN
The furnace extends from the front plate
all the way to the rear reversal chamber being of dryback design.
This full length fire chamber guarantees an adequate coal residence
time resulting to complete combustion. It assures full utilization
of all energy from fuel contributing to its overall efficiency,
and thereby eliminating the occurrence of discharging the still-burning
coal on the ash discharge pit. The boiler is specifically designed
to accommodate Indonesia bituminous coal. The furnace chamber
between front and rear tube plates is corrugated in design to
allow adequate thermal expansion.
Chain links are made from specially casted
high chrome cast iron. Link pins are made bigger and stronger
than ever. The stoker is driven by a variable speed drive
motor. A twin FULL-LENGTH stoker with modulating drive
is provided for boilers with steam output of 15 tons and above.

AT THE JAKARTA PIER
COALMAC 5 ton boiler arrives at Jakarta
pier being loaded onto the low bed trailer by crane.
CMC-5 comes with the chain grate assembly already inserted
to the Boiler Furnace.

Beteen Textile Nusantara-BANDUNG Very
compact in size, COALMAC CMC-10 shown here is operating
in Bandung with 100% fine coal. Unit can be installed inside
the existing building as it does not require special building
ACCESSORIES OF BOILER
Access to the front smokebox is through hinged
baffled doors designed for easy manual opening. Access to the
fire chamber in times of servicing/shutdown is through the
door at the rear reversal chamber. Access to various instruments/meters
is through a series of ladders and gangways around the boiler.

parts up to the ladders for easy and fastinstallation.

order while foundation civil work will take about the same
ERRECTION BY CRANE
two cranes of 40 ton each are used
to lift COALMAC 10 ton boiler to lift from the tranler onto
the foundation. Picture was taken during errection of PT.
Chairman of Hamada Boiler, Mr. Kazuhiro Hamada
is standing in front of the on going pressure vessel of CMC-10
model in the Factory in China. Factory has sophisticated equipment
for manufacturing various kind of boilers up to 100 ton/H high
pressure of 60 bar.
CYCLONE DUST COLLECTOR
The package includes complete
motorized ash discharge conveyor at the rear of the boiler.
In addition, a cyclone dust separator is provided to trap
small ash particles of 10 microns and above. Finally, a wet
scrubber/water spray system is installed before the chimney
to ultimately trap the dust particles that escapes from the
cyclone separator. Final emission is guaranteed below the
limit set by the environmental department of the Indonesian
