This pictures are taken at one of the Brick Making factory in China. Before, they were using Fuel Oil as a fuel to heat up the dryer. Now, they use coal gasifier to produce gas by themselve and save as big as 60% on energy cost as compared to the cost of Natural Gas. This is a Hot Gas system and not equip with the gas cooling system for storage. Gas produced with this equipment must be used immediately without being stored in tank. For clean gas, gas purifying equipment must be added if cleanliness of gas is required for food industry. Sample set up in this picture is good for brick factory, steel smeltery, foundry shop where gas temperature can go up to 1500 °C . Standard design furnace will provide 1250 °C .

Cost of energy from COAL GAS is Rp0.0784/Kcal which is 50% more than the cost of Rp0.0500/Kcal when coal is used directly without converting. This is due to the heat loss during the gasification process. However, if you compare to energy from SOLAR or residue oil, you will still enjoy saving og 50-60%. Coal Gas is recommended for Foundry, Dryers, Brick manufacturing, Glass factory, Caoline manufacturing plant etc.
